As the warm weather comes to an end we’re welcomed with the brisk air of fall. Whether the change for fall is your favorite or not, you sure won’t want to miss the beauty of the colored leaves as they change from green to vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds in our area. With the cold weather comes lazy days and cozying up on the couch and now that many high school fall sports teams like football and soccer have come to an end it’s leaving students with more free time and lots of boredom. So, what can you do to keep busy?

Mark your calendars because there are some upcoming parades in our community that you’ll surely want to attend. November 17th is the annual Tarentum Christmas parade where there will be multiple parade floats including local Girl and Boy Scouts, Community police and fire departments, The Highlands Varsity Marching Band and so many more!!! Don’t fret if you can’t make it because the Harrison Township / Natrona Heights Christmas Parade (along Broadview Blvd.) and Festival (in front of Blessed Sacrament) will be occurring December 1st!!!

If you’re a fanatic for fall then you’ll love these other activities as well. At Renshaw Farms located in Freeport you can go for a hayride, pick out pumpkins, go through a corn maze, see some farm animals, and so much more for only $7 a person. If you’re feeling fancier, Phipps Conservatory located in Pittsburgh displays a Fall Flower show where “125 Years of Wonder Takes Guests on a Spectacular, Nostalgic Journey Through Time”.

Oh and don’t forget that Daylight savings time comes to an end this weekend on Sunday November 4th. Get ready to “Fall” back by turning your clocks back by an hour. That means an extra hour of sleep whooo hooo!!!!
