Does the NSA track your every move? Do you worry about someone following you? This book, “The God’s Eye View” involves real life and fictional stories about things the government does and can do. For example, the ability to eliminate someone and make it look like an accident or the ability to make up fake news to distract the public instead of the true news. Are you scared now?

Barry Eisler the author, is a former CIA agent allowing him to put more detail into what he writes. He has also written a book series called “John Rain” and “Ben Treven” also relating to things such as assassins and government related secret operations. After knowing this, you can think almost every scene in the books can truly happen. Even so, at the end of each book, Eisler provides a works cited page where showed he got his information and help from. These pages are usually ranging from at least five pages, giving readers more suspicion of what the government does.

In the book, “The God’s Eye” is a technology that has the ability to go into almost every electronic device ever made. The protagonist works with the NSA and soon notice some mysterious deaths and will soon begin to realize the connection of the deaths and the God’s Eye. She and her deaf son will soon be targeted to be silenced and has to run for their lives and also spill the news of this horrible technology.

This is a great book if you enjoy a thriller and things that the government might do. The majority of Eisler books involves possible government actions in real life but placed in a book. This book can be related to some TV shows and movies such as Dexter, Mr.Robot in some concepts. It is like an action movie but in book form but less of the explosion and gunfights. It is still a very mature book as it does involving killing and such but that is like every movie, TV show, book as well. It is just the way people are murdered and such. I would recommend this book if you are interested in a thriller that keeps you reading.
