Lucas Witt, an avid reader, has broken previous record of most books read from our school library by reaching 150 books. Every weekend, Lucas Witt would check out 3 or more books, allowing him to reach this goal. After each weekend, he would return the completely finished books. Other students can try to beat this record next year by checking out and reading as many books as they can throughout the year; this system is honor based but if performed correctly can be enjoyable and educational!

“He is a voracious reader,” said Reidmiller.

“My favorite books had to be the Lockwood and Co. series,” Lucas Witt says.

Lucas Witt had an extensive list of books he had read, including the following:

  • Lockwood & Co.
  • Erasing Time
  • Percy Jackson
  • Heroes of Olympus

To celebrate this star reader, the library hosted a party with root beer floats and other treats, as well as a large poster. Students that participate in library hosted events attended this celebration and enjoyed a treat-filled flex.

Congrats to Lucas Witt, star reader of the year!
