Most Seniors are winding down from the high school highs and are starting to think about college. They are thinking about who they want to room with for the next four years of their lives. How life away from home is going to be different? Who they are going to become in life? But they are also subconsciously thinking, am I going to take a car to college my freshman year? The answer should be a simple and flat out, NO!

What teens don’t realize is that the first semester of college their freshman year is solely based on you discovering who you are and how you can cope with new changes. It is about self discovery and learning your way around the world. There is no need for a car because you most likely are not going to leave campus that often in the beginning. You will be so focused on your studies and friends that you won’t have time to even think about your car. Plus, if you do need to leave you could just call your family and ask them to come pick you up. Or, odds are you know someone going to school with you that has a car, so you could just ask them for a ride. There are so many options, you just have to find them.
